Here’s a reflection on the three hour workshop we held in July 2024. Folks with and without disabilities learned from hip-hop masters about the art forms of DJing, MCing, break dancing and made graffiti together.

At iDance, the event came together under the umbrella of SoulAbilities, and was hosted by Kelly Riccardi with support from Bailey Waukey and Stewart Iguidez. Ted-D taught folks how to DJ, Ndidi Cascade introduced them to the world of MCing, while Josh Cameron shared his hip dance skills and Dedos thenomad invited people to practice some graffiti.

Participants had so many opportunities to connect with each artist and their practice, and were very engaged throughout!
